The Temple Standard
Speak like the buildingsshould stand: few words,load-bearing.
The standard is not a slogan on a wall. It is the short list of things we refuse to skip when skipping would be easy - written down, signed for, and issued with every set of keys.
I
The blockwork is checked twice.
Once by the mason, once by an engineer who signs for it. A wall that is 15mm out at course three is 60mm out at the ring beam - so the second check happens at course three, not at the ring beam. The cheapest insurance in construction is a second pair of eyes at week zero.
On one second check, a boundary peg had moved 40cm. That is why.
II
The concrete cures its full 21 days.
Even when the calendar argues. Most programmes give it seven. Concrete is the one material you cannot un-install - everything about how we work follows from that sentence. The rain that delays a programme also cures it; we let the rain win.

III
Three inspections before any pour.
Formwork. Steel. Services. Then concrete. In that order, every time, with the inspection record in the project file. A building without drawings cannot be inspected - or defended.
Formwork → Steel → Services → Concrete
IV
An engineer signs every stage.
Not sampled - signed. Every Smart Temple site is supervised by a named, COREN-registered engineer with the authority to stop the job. "Supervision" on our sites is a signature with a licence behind it, not a weekly phone call.

V
The keys come with a certificate.
Every handover closes with its certificate of completion: what cured, who checked, who signed. The signatures live in the project file, and the project file goes home with the keys. When we hand them over, we are planning to drive past in thirty years.

Built to the Temple Standard
This certifies that the works were designed, engineered and constructed by Smart Temple Nigeria; that the concrete cured in full, the blockwork was checked twice, and the drawings were signed at every stage by a registered engineer. May it outlast all of us.

Questions worth asking any builder
Including us.
What does ₦150 million actually build in Abuja?+
Roughly a 320m² four-bedroom residence in a Guzape-class district, built to full specification - structure cured in full, services done once, finishes that survive a decade. The honest answer always arrives as a bill of quantities, not a number in a text message. If you know the honest bands before anyone quotes you, you cannot be quoted into a corner.
Why does concrete need 21 days when other builders pour and move on in seven?+
Concrete reaches only part of its design strength in the first week. A slab stripped at seven days can look perfect and still be carrying a debt it repays with cracks in year three. Our programmes give every pour its full cure - we are not fast; we are on time.
What should 'supervision' actually mean on my site?+
It is the most abused word in Nigerian construction - it can mean a weekly phone call. On a Smart Temple site it means a named, COREN-registered engineer at every stage gate, with the authority to stop the job, whose signature lives in the project file. Ask any builder who signs, and when.
How do I verify progress on my build from abroad?+
Documents, not vibes. You should receive dated, geotagged site reports, stage sign-offs with the engineer's name, and a programme you can hold the builder to. If a builder cannot produce those three, the distance is not your problem - the paperwork is.
What's wrong with taking the cheapest quote?+
The cheapest quote is usually the most expensive - it grows after your foundation is down, when leaving is no longer practical. A low total built on weak line items is the most expensive document you can sign. A quote is an opinion; a bill of quantities is a fact. Ask for the BOQ before you ask for a discount.
What do I actually receive at handover?+
Keys are not a handover; papers are. Every Smart Temple project closes with its certificate of completion: the record of what cured, what was checked and who signed - along with the drawings and the project file. Clients frame them. That is allowed.
Hold us to it.
The standard is only real on a site. Bring your plot and watch it work.
